The demand for clothes in Russia will decline by 35%.

Association of Retail Companies predicts the drop in demand for clothes in Russia in 2015 by 35%. In this case, the decline in demand can be observed this spring and summer already.

Import of shoes and clothes significantly reduced in January, 2015 in Russia. In particular, import of footwear from non-CIS countries fell by 44.1% as compared to the same period in 2014 and amounted $ 207.6 million as reported the Federal Customs Service. Import of knitted garments declined by 41.6% down to $ 159.9 million, textile clothes - by 36.2% down to $ 195.4 million. Sales of clothing and footwear slightly dropped in January as compared to the previous year, however, they are traditionally reducing after the holidays. Retailers will change the product line and make emphasis on the economic segment due to the reduction of purchasing power.
