PwC: car sales in Russia in 2015 will reduce by 25-35%

PricewaterhouseCoopers has predicted about what the Russian car market will be in 2015. In the base scenario, the demand for new cars will decline by 35%. According to the optimistic prognosis the drop will stay at 25% and the number of sold cars will reach 1.75 million copies. The experts believe that 370000 - 430000 domestic cars and 860000 -980000 foreign cars are going to be sold.

In the base scenario the import will fall by 48-55% down to 290000 and to 340000 according to the optimistic prognosis. PwC experts assume the decline in sales can be followed by withdrawal of several brands from the Russian market. Russian companies obviously take the most advantageous position as well as foreign companies with high degree of localization in Russia.
