Medvedev promised to turn Moscow into global financial center

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev expressed confidence in stable economic growth of the country at the opening of the 12th International Economic Forum, which began in Saint Petersburg.

Moreover, the President noted that '…the most important factors providing competitiveness of Russian financial system are turning Moscow into global financial center and ruble into one of the leading regional reserve currency. The program directed at meeting these requirements is planned to pass in the near future'.

Medvedev also encouraged foreigners "not to hesitate to invest into Russian business" (c).

At the same time, French fashion designer Paco Rabban, who visited Moscow one of these days, claimed that Moscow would soon become the center of 'the world fashion'.

There are much less French fashion designers in Paris, than designers from other countries. I think, that is why it became the capital of Fashion, - explained maestro – I think, situation in Moscow is similar. Besides, you've got potential".
