Import of watches in Russia is cooling down

Import of watches to Russia has grown in 2014: 5% in terms of value and 13% in terms of quantity. The import of watches in non-metallic cases has increased by 53%. However, almost all of the increase was in the first half of the year. The peak number of purchases was in September-October until the reduced customs duty remained in force, lobbied by Russian Watches Association. Most distr bordercolor="#000000"ibutors have reduced purchases since November due to weakening rubble.
